What we do

About Tai Chi

Known in the West as Tai Chi (chuan) is a long established form of exercise from China. Over time, the practice of tai chi develops awareness, coordination and flexibility and can improve body coordination such as posture, balance and movement. In terms of mindfulness the practice can also improve focus, patience and mental awareness. Tai chi practice relaxes and strengthens the body and calms the mind.

It has been demonstrated to improve circulation, health and balance, and regular practitioners suffer less from trips and falls.

Harvard Medical School have listed Tai Chi as one of THE exercises you should practice for the rest of your life.
